VMware vCenter Server 6.5 patching for Windows

 

Pre-installation steps

1. Make full backup of your vcenter database
2. Make Snapshot of your vcenter server
3. Stop Vmware Services
   CMD
   cd d:\Program Files\VMware\vCenter Server\bin
   service-control –stop –all

 

Installation Steps

1. Download patch from vmware website https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/downloads/details?downloadGroup=VC65U3D&productId=614 I download update U3f 
2. Mount your ISO on your Vcenter running on windows

3. navigate to E:\autorun.exe

 

4. Press Install

 

5. Press Next

 

6. Accept EULA and press Next

 

7. Press Update

 

8. Wait till process complete

 

8. After installation completed successfully  navigate to Vcenter >>summary pane
